I am, and always will be, the hoper of far-flung hope, the dreamer of improbable dreams. The Doctor
Dwen, 28, queer and, as Gerard Way puts it, chemically imbalanced.
I’ve recently graduated with Distinction from a top-notch university in Turin, Agenzia Formativa tuttoEUROPA, which offers a Translator for Publishing MA. Before that, I studied Translation and Interpreting and I graduated in 2016 with First Class Honours.
Before pursuing my MA, I went through a painful crisis, which was not helped by my — now former, luckily — psychiatrist mistreating me, and I (believed I) fell out of love with Translation.
But now that I’m mentally well, and now that I spent one whole year immersed in the magic of reading words and having to recreate the enchantment in a different language, and above all, learning how to do it, I clearly see that this is the road meant for me both as a translator and a person who deals with mental illness on a daily basis.
And so, TRANSLATION TO SMASH THE STIGMA was born.
Thank you to the few but oh so precious people who are backing me and have got my back. You know who you are.
You’ve gotta give them hope.Harvey Milk
